Hessellund Sø-Camping rents out canoes for sailing on Karup Stream

On a canoe trip down Karup Stream, you'll see some amazing wildlife. It's not at all unusual to catch a glimpse of kingfishers and dippers there. And, who knows, if you're lucky you could see one of the few otters still to be found in Denmark

Canoe ½ day trip

If you participate in the half-day trip, you start from the campsite and canoe to the bridge at Sdr. Resen.

It takes app. 3 hours so you will have to start at 13.00 at the latest.

Arriving in Sdr. Resen you take the canoe onshore.

 

Fulltime trip

Choosing a fulltime trip, you canoe to Hagebro (stop just beneath the Hagebro Kro (Inn).

It takes app. 6 hours so you will have to start at 10.30 at the latest.

Arriving at Hagebro Kro you take the canoe onshore.

 

2 day canoe trip

The 2 days trip goes to Skive (The bridge af Sdr. Boulevard).

Start from the campsite at 10.30 at the latest and canoe to Hagebro which takes you approx. 6 hours.

The next day you start at 10.30 at the latest and canoe to Skive which takes you approx. 6 hours.

Arriving in Skive you take the canoe onshore.

 

Aktiv ferie i skøn natur - og masser af frisk luft.

For 1 and 2 day trips, the trip starts between the hours. 9:00 and 10:30 For ½-day trips the start time can be arranged when booking. Maximum 3 people per canoe. It is forbidden to sail in canoes tied together. Do not sail against the current; leave your radio at home, and enjoy nature instead. Use the signposted resting-places along the stream; you may also stop in other places, but not on cultivated land. Please take your rubbish home with you.Dogs not allowed. Fishing and sailing don't go together; if you want to fish, you will need to buy a fishing card, and fish from the bank of the stream. The hirer is responsible for the tackle provided.

All prices include transporting the canoes back to the site.
